RFP # JRTC-IT-2

 

Jackson River Technical Center requests proposals for twenty laptop computers.  Any submission must list each of this proposal’s line item requirements and any associated cost.  Any submission listing a substitution for any of this RFP’s line item requirements must indicate that the specification is a substitution. Total cost must be reflected in any bid package as well as any associated costs related to shipping/handling fees.

 

Each proposal must:

 

  1. provide a short description and history of the submitting organization.
  2. identify the submission’s principal contact person providing telephone, extension, fax, and email information.
  3. be in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  4. describe payment terms.
  5. provide detailed warranty information relative to on-site repair, parts,  and labor.
  6. clearly state that any fees related to the return of any computer for warranty repair will be paid by the vendor. 
  7. clearly state that shipping arrangements relative to return of any computer for warranty repair will be made by the vendor and appropriate shipping labels will be supplied to the customer.
  8. must arrive via FedEx, UPS, United States Postal Service by the deadline noted in this RFP.  Late submissions will be disqualified from consideration as well as any submission or addendum arriving via electronic mail. All submissions must be in a sealed envelope labeled:

Any proposal that does not meet the stated requirements will be considered unresponsive and will be disqualified from consideration by the Director of Jackson River Technical Center.

Technical Requirements 

 

Each laptop must be capable of dial up or Ethernet networking. Upon customer’s acceptance of the devices specified in this RFP, no additional hardware should be required.  All hardware should be ready for immediate operation.

All bids are subject to the approval of the Jackson River Technical Center Joint Board of Control or its designee.  The JRTC JBOC or its designee reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

 

Jackson River Technical Center’s Joint Board of Control or its designee retains the right to negotiate terms/conditions/quantities with the successful respondent.

 

Errors of omission related to the language or format of this RFP does not release the successful respondent from including hardware or software necessary for the successful operation of any device indicated, described, or listed in this RFP.

All bids are due October 8, 2003 at 4:00 pm via methods described in this RFP.

All bids will be opened on Wednesday, October 9, 2003 at 10:00 a.m.  The successful respondent will be notified by phone and fax.  All other vendors will be notified via fax document.
