JRTC Marketing Instructor Opening

Looking for an experienced instructor to teach Marketing at Jackson River Technical Center for the 2021-2022 school year.  Applications can be found online at http://www.jrtc.info/employment-application/, or can be picked up at JRTC.  Requirements and information for the position are:

Position Title:  Marketing Instructor

Primary Function:  To develop and implement an instructional program for the Marketing program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.

Qualifications:

  • Earned a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university and graduated from an approved teacher preparation program in marketing education, or
  • Earned a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university and completed a major in

Marketing education or a minimum of 39 semester hours of coursework in Marketing to include:

Performance Responsibilities:

  • To demonstrate a knowledge of the subject (Marketing) being taught.
  • To comply with school and school board policies and regulations.
  • To exhibit evidence of effective lesson plans using the state competencies.
  • To work cooperatively with the total staff.
  • To relate positively to parents and other community representatives.
  • To demonstrate professional growth.
  • To be prompt and accurate with required records and reports.
  • To accept responsibilities outside the classroom as they relate to the school.
  • To use instructional and planning time effectively.
  • To assume responsibility or care of materials, equipment and facilities.
  • To assume responsibility for a neat, safe environment for students committed to the teacher’s care.
  • To practice and promote positive interaction with and among students.
  • To demonstrate interest in the student, encourage self-direction and self-motivation in students.
  • To maintain an organized program of instruction based on long range plans.
  • To communicate lesson objectives and its importance to students.
  • To perform other duties as assigned by the Director.

Contract:  Ten Months (200 Days)

Salary Range:  $40,400 – $61,004
